Product Description
This SKF CARB toroidal roller bearing is unsealed and has a tapered bore, a nylon cage, C3 clearance, and metric dimensions. It is suitable for use where there are both misalignment as a result of mounting errors or shaft deflections and axial displacement as a result of thermal expansion of the shaft within the bearing, such as occurs in rolling mill and textile applications. The nylon cage has high wear resistance, and it spaces the rollers for even load distribution and prevents contact to reduce friction, vibration, and noise. The bearing's C3 radial clearance is larger than normal for applications where impact loads and vibration are severe or thermal expansion is a factor. The bearing's 1:12 taper compensates for flexing shafts and fits tapered shafts. This roller bearing is intended to be interchangeable with other manufacturers' bearings and meets International Standards Organization (ISO) standards ISO 15:1998 for boundary dimensions and ISO 492:2002 for tolerances. This CARB toroidal roller bearing is suitable for use in applications with combined radial and axial loads such as in crushers, steelmaking and rolling mills, paper machines, electric motors, and water turbines.
