The United States announced on Tuesday that it would impose sanctions on 13 foreign entities and individuals in China, Iraq, Russia and Turkey for supporting Iran's missile program.
The action includes new sanctions against three Chinese companies, a Chinese and a Turkish company, the State Council said.
It pointed out that the three Chinese enterprises that were sanctioned were Baoding shimaotong Enterprise Service Co., Ltd., Gaobeidian Kaifa Precision Instrument Manufacturing Co., Ltd. and Wuhan Sanjiang import and Export Co., Ltd.
It said the sanctions would include restrictions on U.S. government procurement, U.S. government assistance and exports.
"The sacrifice of these measures highlights the doubts that Iran's missile program still has significant proliferation," the statement said.
"Imposing sanctions on these foreign entities is consistent with our efforts to use all available measures to prevent Iran from improving its missile capabilities," it added
