Moscow, Feb. 12 (reporter Wu Gang), Russian President Vladimir Putin said Tuesday that Russia's GDP will grow by 1.3% in 2019.
When Putin presided over the Russian Economic Conference on the same day, he said that a higher economic growth rate is a strong guarantee to promote social development, increase jobs, increase residents' income and solve population problems, which is necessary for Russian economic development.
Putin said that at present, in addition to continuing to ensure the stability of the financial system, the main task of Russia's economy is to increase investment projects, so that the annual investment growth rate reaches 5% to 7%, in order to promote Russia's economic growth.
According to statistics, Russia's economy grew by 2.3% in the fourth quarter of last year, significantly higher than the previous three quarters.
