According to the report, for health reasons, soldiers wear hair jackets, masks and gloves to pack. Before putting into packing work, soldiers will disinfect their hands as required.
The packing work is carried out 24 hours a day, starting at 10:00 p.m. on January 30. All 5.2 million masks will be packed on the night of February 1. The delivery of masks will start at 5 p.m. on January 31.
The soldiers assisting in the packing of masks come from various units under the combat service support command. They rotate every 8 hours, and 450 soldiers are responsible for packing each time. The task of each round is to pack 200000 packs of masks, one pack for every 4 masks.
In addition to packing masks, Singapore's army has also assisted in "contact tracing" and installed thermal imagers at the airport to pick out travelers with fever symptoms.
