China has approved the resumption of meat imports from Canada, China's foreign ministry said Wednesday, confirming the announcement by Canada's prime minister on Tuesday.

Geng Shuang, a foreign ministry spokesman, said that Canada has addressed China's security concerns and put forward a "correction" plan.
