        China urges the United States to lift more tariffs

On Monday, politico quoted three sources familiar with the internal discussions as saying that China is urging U.S. President trump to lift tariffs on more Chinese goods exported to the United States in September before signing the first phase of the trade agreement between China and the United States.
Beijing also urged the U.S. side to lift the 15% tariff imposed on September 1 on Chinese exports worth about $112 billion, but no decision has been made, politico added, citing the source.
The financial times also reported late on Monday that the White House was considering whether to lift the 15 per cent tariff on $112 billion of Chinese goods, including clothing, home appliances and flat-panel displays, which took effect on September 1.
Trump said Friday evening that negotiations on the "first stage" agreement are progressing well. After the completion of the agreement, he hopes to sign an agreement with Chinese President Xi Jinping in the United States.
Us and Chinese negotiators are stepping up their efforts to finalize the "first stage" trade agreement for Xi Jinping and Trump to sign this month.
