According to the Guardian, several European diplomats said that the basic situation set by British Prime Minister Johnson was that Britain had no agreement to withdraw from Europe, and he had no intention of renegotiating the agreement.
"Obviously, Britain has not prepared another plan," the Guardian quoted an EU diplomat as saying after the British government's new EU affairs adviser David Frost held talks with several European diplomats.
"Without intention to negotiate, the negotiations will need a plan," the report quoted the diplomat as saying. "No agreement is now clearly the basic setting for the British government."
