U.S. Commerce Secretary Ross said Tuesday that this month's G-20 summit will help push forward the U.S. -China trade negotiations, but no final agreement is expected.
In an interview with CNBC, Ross said that the final trade agreement with China may not be reached at the G20 summit in Japan, but the summit may help to open up a path for the future.
"At the G20 summit, at the most, it is... There's some sort of agreement on the way forward, but it's certainly not going to be a final agreement, "Ross said.
