1. How to Clean Bearings Correctly
When disassembling and repairing bearings, first record the appearance of bearings, confirm the remaining amount of lubricants, sample the lubricants used for inspection, and then clean the bearings.
Selected cleaning agent, generally speaking, sealed on the bearing antirust oil, can be cleaned with solvent-based cleaning agent. If there is a thicker anti-rust oil on the bearing, the solvent-based oil stain cleaning agent for metal parts can be used first, such as WY-Y155 of Wuyang Hydrocarbon Company, which is heated and dissolved properly, and then removed after the surface anti-rust oil dissolves, and then wiped.
When cleaning, one hand should hold the inner ring of the bearing, the other hand should rotate the outer ring slowly until the oil stains on the rolling body, raceway and cage of the bearing are completely washed out, and then clean the surface of the outer ring of the bearing.
At the beginning of cleaning, it is advisable to rotate slowly, sway back and forth, and not to rotate too hard, otherwise the raceway and rolling element of the bearing will be easily adhered to by dirt. When the number of bearing cleaning is large, it can be divided into two steps: coarse cleaning and fine cleaning. When rough cleaning, if the bearing is rotated with stolen goods, the rolling surface of the bearing will be damaged. Attention should be paid to it. In the rough cleaning oil, use a brush to remove grease and adhesives, roughly clean, and then turn to the scrubbing. Cleaning is to rotate the bearing in the cleaning oil and clean it carefully at the same time.
For bearings that are inconvenient to disassemble, the old oil can be melted by using parts cleaning agent first, and then the residual oil in the bearings can be cleaned by hook or spoon. When cleaning, care should be taken not to have open fire.
