On November 23 last year, three illegal armed elements failed to break into the Chinese Consulate in Karachi, Pakistan, and were killed in subsequent exchanges of fire, resulting in four deaths, including two Pakistani police officers. Police recovered at least nine grenades from the militants, along with submachine guns, bullets and explosives. Pakistan's armed group, the Baluchistan Liberation Army (BLA), claimed responsibility for the incident.
