President Trump's longtime aide, Roger Stone, was arrested Friday on the grounds that he gave Congress a false statement about using stolen e-mails to attack Democratic opponents during the 2016 general election. This is another person arrested since Special Prosecutor Robert Mueller investigated the election rigging case.
Stone, 66, claimed innocence hours after a large number of FBI officers raided his Fort Lauderdale home.
Mueller's "Tung Omen" investigation has arrested many people, and Stone is one of the accused most closely related to Trump.
In court documents, Mueller said Stone had disclosed to several members of Trump's campaign that WikiLeaks was ready to publish some senior Democratic e-mails.
