Prince's Trust, a youth charity founded by Prince Charles in Britain, said it would no longer accept any new donations from Huawei, China, in view of public concerns. This is the latest sign that Huawei is under pressure in one of its most important markets.
Huawei is one of the leading suppliers of broadband equipment and mobile networks in the UK, but British officials have warned that its technology poses new security risks to the country's networks.
"Now, in view of public concerns, we are no longer accepting new donations from Huawei," the Trust said in a statement. "Future donations will continue to be reviewed by the Ethics Fundraising Committee."
Oxford University said Thursday it would stop accepting Huawei donations.
