Oxford University said Thursday it would stop accepting donations from Huawei, China.
"Oxford University decided on 8 January this year that it will not seek new funding from Huawei or its associated conglomerates at present," Oxford University said in a statement.
"This decision was made in recent months amid public concerns about the partnership between the UK and Huawei. We hope these things will be resolved soon.
A spokesman for Huawei said it was not informed of Oxford's decision until the media reported it.
