Bloomberg reported Tuesday that China requires some state-owned enterprises to avoid traveling to the United States and its allies, and that special attention should be paid to protecting equipment if they have to go.
Bloomberg quoted people familiar with the situation as saying that in recent weeks, the State Assets Regulatory Commission has instructed some state-owned enterprises to carry only safe laptops for overseas use if they have to travel overseas.
Bloomberg said China's travel warnings range from Five Eyes intelligence allies to Britain, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
