China's auto market shrank in 2018, the first decline in sales since the 1990s, the China Automobile Association said Monday.
Shi Jianhua, a senior official of the Chinese Auto Association, made the comments at a press conference Monday, at which the Chinese Auto Association released December sales data for the automotive industry.
He also said that CAAC expects automakers to face more intense competition in 2019.
