Research shows that the per capita output of advanced manufacturing in the United States is 2 times as high as that in the non advanced manufacturing field, and each advanced manufacturing post can drive 3.5 jobs in the supply chain.
With the weakening of the global economy and the tight constraints of energy resources and environmental constraints, the main developed countries have "aimed" at this, ramming the economic core and taking up the high point of the industrial development.
Roman Tam, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of industry and information, said that, thanks to a complete industrial system, a solid manufacturing base and a huge domestic market that absorbs new technologies, China's advanced manufacturing innovation has come from running in the following areas, entering the new stage of running, increasing and leading in the emergence. A number of landmark achievements have been made in the fields of integrated circuits, new energy vehicles and large aircraft. The new generation of information technology, new material technology and new energy technology are driving group technological breakthroughs. Data show that in 2017, the added value of high-tech manufacturing in China increased by 13.4% over the same period last year, 6.8 percentage points faster than that of above scale industries.
Despite the growing ability of innovation, there is still a gap between China's advanced manufacturing and developed countries. Roman Tam believes that it is mainly reflected in the shortage of industrial base, the shortage of high-end talents, the lack of global business operation and the urgent need to optimize the development environment. In addition, foreign MNC actively uses the production network and organization mode of globalization, and controls the high end link of value chain with core technology and professional service. The advanced manufacturing development is facing the risk of "low end lock".
"Advanced manufacturing in the short term is the key to achieving a virtuous circle of economy. In the long run, it is the lifeblood of the national economy." Roman Tam said that the next step is to guide the layout of major productive forces in advanced manufacturing so as to accelerate the implementation of innovation achievements in the industry.
