Russian news agency (RIA) reported that the Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said on Friday that the government will expand the American blacklist to respond to the new US sanctions imposed on Russia.
According to the Russian news agency, Ryabkov said that Russia will take the principle of reciprocity in responding to sanctions, but the government does not exclude the possibility of taking additional measures. The United States has previously imposed sanctions on a number of Russian individuals and entities on the grounds of intervening in the United States general election and carrying out cyber attacks.
The Russian government, citing Ryabkov, reports that the Russian government wants to keep a dialogue with the US government and that the Americans who want to destroy their relations are playing with fire.
