On Tuesday, U.S. President Trump urged Republicans and Democrats with serious disagreements to compromise on immigration and infrastructure. In the past year, there has been no battle between the two parties around Trump's leadership.

"Tonight, I urge all of us to put aside our differences for the time being, seek consensus and unity, and serve our people," Trump said in his first State of the Union address.
Trump tried to use this speech to dispel doubts about his government. At this moment, he faced the U.S. authorities' investigation into his alleged involvement in the election campaign and his low support rate among the public. There was little mention of the details of his policy proposal in his speech.
Although Trump has called for bipartisan cooperation, signs of great disagreement between the two parties are evident. Republican members applauded when the applause, while Democrats mostly sat quietly.
It is far from clear whether Trump will implement the call for bipartisan cooperation. Trump has previously worked hard on cooperation, but these efforts have been tarnished by his remarks and controversial statements in his tweets. Relevant tweets and statements not only angered the Democrats but also often annoyed Republican lawmakers.
