U.S. President Trump said on Wednesday that he is willing to accept the question of Special Prosecutor Robert Mueller on oath. Mueller is investigating the Russian intervention in the U.S. 2016 election.

"I'm looking forward to, really," Trump told reporters at the White House, referring to the question from former Federal Bureau of Investigation Secretary Mill. "I will do it under oath."

Although Trump promised earlier to cooperate with Muller's investigation, Trump also had his own claim as the White House and congressional allies stepped up efforts to plague the credibility of the investigation. Trump has been blinking over whether to answer the question.

According to sources familiar with the investigation, Trump's lawyers have been negotiating with the Mueller team for questioning. "I hope to proceed as soon as possible," Trump said.

However, Trump said that the date of the confirmed conversation "will be left with my lawyer," and asked if he thinks Mill would treat him fairly, Trump said: "We'll find the answer."
