        Verizon Communications Strikes AT & T to win Straight Path bid war will speed up

Verizon Communications (VZ.N) acquired Straight Path Communications (STRP.A) with wireless spectrum for $ 3.1 billion, about twice as much as the initial bid for AT & T (TN) Rising Communications hopes to take advantage of the 5G network competition.

Verizon Communications offers a $ 18 per share of all-stock deals, which is 17.8% higher than Straight Path's closing price on Wednesday. AT & T is the first to raise $ 95.63 per share on April 8. And since April 7, Straight Path shares have risen nearly five times.
