Japan's Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshiyasu said Friday that Japan will impose more sanctions on North Korea, according to North Korea action to consider further initiatives. North Korea conducted its fifth nuclear test in September.

At the press conference, Sugiyoshi said Japan will expand the list of people who are prohibited from re-entering Japan after the DPRK's visit. Meanwhile, all ships that have docked to the DPRK port are prohibited from entering.

He said Japan would also freeze more assets related to North Korea's nuclear and missile development groups and individuals.

The UN Security Council on Wednesday imposed new sanctions on North Korea, aimed at cutting North Korea's export earnings by a quarter.
