Democratic opposition Democratic Party spokesman Ki Dong-min said opposition parties had agreed to Friday's motion to impeach President Park Jin-hui and voted on 9 December.
South Korea's three major opposition parties in the 300-member parliament has a total of 165 seats, although the impeachment motion can be made, but still need to reach a two-thirds majority to be adopted.
